Nathalie Edmond, Psy.D., RYT-200
Mindful and Multicultural Counseling

Come as you are.

Trust that you are perfectly imperfect.
Believe that everything you need  to be content and grow already lies within yourself.
Feelings, sensations and thoughts are just visitors.  Let them come and let them go.
Everything changes. We can only control our reactions and the stories we tell ourselves about our experiences.
Be true to your values.
Take time to breathe and to laugh
Wherever you are, be all there.
Dr. Nathalie Edmond is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in clinical practice since 2003.  She has experience providing individual therapy, couples, family and group therapy to adolescents and adults.   She has been the director of a women's trauma program and overseen mental health and addiction programs for children, adolescents, and adults.  She has also worked in a college counseling center. She is trained in mindfulness and meditation and has a daily personal practice.   She is also a registered yoga teacher.  She believes in mindful living and creating space for people to connect with their true self, whether that is on or off the mat.  She has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy which uses mindfulness and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help people deal with difficult emotions in order to build a life worth living.  She has also been trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (body oriented approach to the treatment of trauma and attachment issues), Prolonged Exposure, and a variety of yoga traditions such as vinyasa, gentle, therapeutic, yin, and restorative.  She became a yoga teacher because she recognized the healing elements of yoga and the many parallels between one's yoga practice and how one approaches life.  She facilitates a number of workshops on Mindfulness, DBT, Emotion Dysregulation, Cultural Competence, and Mind-Body connection to professionals and the community.
